I've always wanted to do a harpg meme and I think *Tattered-Dreams's meme is the best out there, harpg-meme wise <3 I had way too much fun drawing this. Not to mention its a good way to show you folks how our stables/lands whatever look like
1. Our houses (we have two) are in the traditional Apuseni architectural style, but on a slightly bigger scale. For all the folks to be able to fit in comfortably ;D
2. From left to right: Hrim (owner, trainer and rider), Dwyn (rider and stable-hand -when he's sober), Baldric (groom and stable-hand, sometimes rider - when we have big horses for him to offer), Carme (manager and administrator, she always dresses pretty and never get's dirty, even around the stables - we believe she might not be human)
3. Self-Explanatory (cookies for those who remember Balios)
4. Who doesn't know the handsome stallion Van Gogh who dwells at *Carousel-Stables, the moment I saw him, I thought :"now that's a horse worth going to jail for (if I were to steal him )" He's one of my top favorite HA-rpg horses of all time. And then there's the charming and rustic RPS Lentilka - a mongolian mare of great stamina. I simply adore her design and personality <3
5. Our mares like to hang together in a barn without stalls, the stallions depending on who get's along with who, can also hang together, but in the pasture. We school our horses in the picaderos, one indoor one outdoor A humble office for keeping the paperwork, with a massive bookcase filled with books on horsemanship. Large pastures and ze all mighty tack room (spanish saddles, english saddles and wooden saddles).
6. We focus on 3 breeds, Huculs, Lusitanos and Nazmeis we need more huculs though.. So in spring there will be an invasion of new blood.
7. Bacchus sporting our own made Air Tack and stable colors
8. Our stable focuses on trail and trekking disciplines, and almost all of our horses are trekkers. We welcome tourists and folks from other stables with open arms if they would be interested in visiting some breathtaking landscapes and enjoying some old fashion riding in the wild.
For shading I use a soft brush (with the edges a little fuzzy - 80% or so) with the opacity about 60 to 50% and after I add the base color, I start adding softly darker colors, stroke after stroke until I'm happy with how it looks. But it also takes years of practice until you find something that works for you :>
I do use a tablet (Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch) Pressure can be set in Photoshop for example (if you work with that program) from Brushes menu and select "Shape dynamics", its fairly simple. You can also go to "Control Panel" and select your tablet preferences, see if you can't tweak the pressure sensitivity from there as well. But since I don't know what software you use, I can't really give you much advice.
brushes for coloring. i mean, especially when i want to shade, it doesn't look smooth or you can see the previous brush stroke under the next one. It is hard to explain
I think I sort of understand. If you don't want to see the previous brush stroke, put your brush to 100% opacity, and if you want a smooth brush, go to brushes, and there make sure it has 0 spacing, and from the "hardness" bar make sure its not to 100, maybe somewhere around 80-70 percent
